That’s where our Student International Health plan can help. We can take care of your medical needs, so that you can focus on your studies and enjoy making memories during your time abroad.
The Student International Health Plan is designed for students of any nationality living, working or studying outside of their home country as part of their college or university course.
This plan is available to individuals aged 16 to 40. If you're 16 or 17, please contact us for an application form. This will need to be completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian.

The benefits of our Student International Health insurance plan
Our international student healthcare plan can get you fast access to diagnosis and eligible treatment. You'll lose a minimal amount of time whilst you're treated in private medical facilities, so you'll be able to concentrate on your education and make the most of your life abroad.
The plan includes cover for key medical costs, including hospital accommodation and treatment, outpatient specialist consultations, diagnostic tests, prescription drugs and dressings. You can purchase the plan for 1 to 12 months. If you continue your studies abroad, you'll be able to extend your plan three times for up to 12 months, giving you 4 years of cover.

International health insurance is designed for expatriates or anyone living, working, or travelling abroad for an extended period. Generally, international health insurance will provide access to leading private medical facilities, with a wide range of comprehensive medical insurance benefits. Whilst most travel insurance policies will provide emergency medical coverage before returning you to your home country, and feature alongside core benefits such as travel delays, cancellations, baggage, and belongings.

The Student International Health Insurance plan is designed for students of any nationality living, working or studying outside or their home country as part of their college or university course.
Proof of enrolment on a university or college course is required.
The plan is not available if you are living, working or studying in the USA or Caribbean.

Premiums can be paid in Pounds Sterling, US Dollars or Euros.
Cover must be purchased in whole months. The premium for the whole duration of your plan must be paid before or on the start date of the plan.

The plan is not intended to provide cover for medical conditions that have been in existence in the two years immediately prior to its start date.
Any medical condition that is already in existence will not be eligible for cover, unless you have purchased our benefit add on for Pre-existing Condition Cover.
How long will I be covered for?

The plan can be purchased for a minimum of 1 month and a maximum of 12 months.
If you are continuing your studies outside your home country for longer than 12 months, the plan can be extended for three further periods of up to 12 months, with a maximum period of cover of four years.

Our International Student Health Plan ensures you are covered during temporary visits lasting up to a maximum of 60 days to your home country. However, this excludes the USA or Caribbean.
